The 2800 Series Adjustable Lift Lid Desk represents the most well constructed, heavy duty lift lid desk on the market. The book box is made of heavy duty 20-gauge steel with rolled edges for added strength and safety. The writing surface is 18" x 24" and made of a 5/8" thick solid plastic or fiberboard surface. Attachment to the box is made by a high quality, full-width piano hinge. Two adjustable spring hinges and rubber bumper cushions assure safe, secure and quiet operation even by young students. The desk frame is constructed of 16-gauge tubular steel and the desk is adjustable from 22"-29" in one inch increments utilizing a dual bolt attachment for unparallelled strength and stability. Nylon base, self leveling glides reduce unwanted noise in the classroom.
